In addition to the discussion and research that the Foothill College Campus Conversation group is pursuing, there are a number of additional examples of the scholarship of teaching and learning which exhibit themselves throughout our campus.

Internet Online Student Survey

Dr. Roxanne Baxter Mendrinos, American Council on Education (ACE) Fellow 1999-2000, has developed a research study to assess faculty and student attitudes towards online distance learning and to develop a profile of the successful online distance learning student. Faculty surveys were distributed in print format and was also available to be taken and submitted through a web site. The student surveys were distributed through the web site format. The research study was developed as an ACE project for Foothill College. Dr. Mendrinos is working closely with Institutional Research at the Foothill-De Anza Community College District, and with the Web Master for Distance Learning at De Anza College. For more information on this project, please contact Dr. Roxanne Baxter Mendrinos.
